Likely due to a combination of old age, not playing the old games in years, and the PS4 controller not being optimal for retro 2d platforming. I never had trouble with the GameCube controller on the Mega Collection. Think I'll just skip them since you don't get emeralds from them, anyway. Also, the act 2 boss of Chemical Plant is seriously ~~you playing a round of Mean Bean Machine against Robotnik. Thankfully it's real easy.
