it makes me feel disgusted but also ashamed that asian americans did not stand up strong enough to be seen as the allies of other minorities instead

You think white supremacists think Asian Americans are their allies? I've seen other groups claim Asians are privileged as the "model minority," but it wasn't said as a compliment. There are several CEmen (they'll remain nameless) who get mad when Asians start asking for help from other minorities, saying Asians should make their own social movements and not attach themselves to the non-Asian ones. It wasn't whites saying that, if I'm being too unclear.

The whole "model minority" idea was created to cause rifts between minority populations and foster resentment within minority populations adjacent to Asian neighborhoods

It used to be that Asians were regarded the same as all other non-whites - considered less intelligent, savage, etc
Then suddenly around the late 19th century the language changes, you notice they're praising Asians, especially in comparison to black populations. This pervaded our culture, etc

If you wanna see a classic scene depicting asian-black relations, just watch the convenience store scenes from Do The Right Thing

Everyone who parrots "model minority" is accepting a racist and divisive paradigm
