Topic	Reminder that in Mario canon, all games are just plays put on by the characters.

It just means Nintendo doesn't give much of a damn about continuity or canonicity when it comes to Mario. Yeah he didn't say anything about it being a play. Seems like a bit of a translation thing when they said 'troupe of actors' when that doesn't seem to be what he was talking about. It's more comparable to old cartoons like the Looney Tunes. Several characters play roles and foils to each other but the circumstances of that can be extremely different and there's nothing really linking them outside of that. Could be.
