I am an RPG fan, but the RPG's I played in the late 1990's/early 2000's were pokemon games and the Digimon world games. I rented KH1 from block buster without even knowing what it was about. I had FF8 and FFX since 2002/2003. I was stuck on an early boss in FF8. It took me 4 years to beat the original KH game. I bought KHFM1 in 2015. I just beat it in June sans Seperiroth. I beat BBS in May sans the Super Bosses. And I am starting on KH2FM. I beat Chrono Trigger in April. I'm almost 50% in Digimon Cyber Sleuth. I have 55 hrs logged into the game. So I have a mix of early/just started the game to halfway in the game. Well I can't share your enthusiasm for Pokemon or KH, but I'd really recommend skipping Reckoning because it was a terrible game with dull combat. I'd say definitely check out all the FF's for at least 5-10hrs and see which ones grab you but with the sort of timeframes/constraints you're talking about (and considering you clearly like Pokemon more than most) I wouldn't suggest playing them all to completion unless you're really having a good time. Also, FFXII was really good so don't skip that if you can help it but FFXIII and XV you could take or leave imho. --- Mod me?
