Sure, trans people deal with discrimination, but so do other minority groups who don't approach nearly the same suicide rates despite having faced extremely poor treatment by society at large. Something else to consider is de facto segregation. Yes, racial minorities deal with discrimination, but they also often live in communities of like people. There aren't communities of transgender people, who are dealing with issues as an outlier in society. But I also lol'd when Ben tried to push back about Rs being the anti-science party.
