I did a quick look and the Japan release is $200, plus $20 for the NES adapter. Other than needing the NES adapter, I don't think you'd need anything else to play NA releases -- the link on the Premium edition shows it's compatible with FC, SNES, SFC, Gen, MD, GB/C, GBA, PCE, & TG-16. The big advantage to the Retro Freak over the Retron-5 is it plays TurboGrafx cards and supports the original controllers (I'm not sure if you can use actual NES, SNES, or Genesis controllers on a Retron). So, if you don't have any of TG-16 games, I don't see a reason to get a Retro Freak instead of a Retron. Also, both systems have an adapter coming out or already out to play Master System and Game Gear carts. I'm not sure if the Retron one supports SG-1000 carts (which Delta might be the only person here that has any of). --- Montreal Expos (1969-2004) http://www.backloggery.com/Blaqthourne Now playing: Final Fantasy VIII (PS1) -- started 7/9/2017 ...
