Her interest begins and ends with equality and getting mad at people who are being ridiculous. If somebody shared different views but wasn't forceful about it, I'm sure I could make it work. I don't expect anyone to ever agree with me politically, I just expect them to realize I am going to stick to my beliefs regardless of what others want me to think. I feel like I am almost always on the defensive rather than the offensive because all I do is state my opinion (usually directed at no one) and others take it upon themselves to get butt-hurt and start a fight. Ironically, they're typically too abrasive in their approach and make me less interested in hearing their side of things. Many of my friendships are with hardcore Christians, but I am very much an atheist. We just live and let live and don't bother each other with the subject and find peace in common interests.
