Yeah. The first time I tried it was literally traumatizing. I didn't know what it was and the taste was not comparable to any other taste, but to me is comparable to what mold and cleaning chemicals mixed together would taste like if they tasted how they smell. Embalming fluid I think could be accurate possibly due the chemical similarity. It sucked that first time because it was in thick sauce form on pasta and looked identical to pesto, which I love, so I took a huge bite... it was at a social function and other people had been eating it, so I assumed it wasn't poisoned, contaminated or decomposing food, but I arrived at that conclusion more slowly than is rational >_>
