Topic	Why can't we carry over saves in games like NBA 2k and FIFA?

Release a base game then just have the roster updates, new stadiums, etc as DLC or a cheaper expansion disc. The gameplay changes are usually so subtle at times to these sort of games that they are barley noticeable anyway.
