I don't know the specifics, so all we're left with is optimism vs pessimism, but as far as I know you would need a really really big bulky battery, and if your robot is highly active, even then it would barely last. "oh it just has a battery that lasts for hours" is a big leap. and then, even with your example of 4 hours... that means that your robot is still tied with a 2 hour (return trip) leash to the nearest refueling station. if these are bipedal robots, that's not very far. wolfy42 posted... Stations are everywhere (kinda like taco bell and mc d's combined), so there are never any lines, you just run through quickly and bam, your set for another 8 hours. that's very convenient that you somehow have infinite batteries and infinite stations and batteries that magically last a long time without being too big. if you look at real world robots you have one of three scenarios: - robot is tethered with a thick cable - robot has extremely noisy engine - robot has battery pack but is only used for very short demonstrations (even with the noisy engines, that wouldn't necessarily allow tons of duration either without really big fuel tanks). --- The truth basks in scrutiny. http://i.imgur.com/GMouTGs.jpg http://projecteuler.net/profile/Sahuagin.png ...
