And then you get up to leave or object and they're like "Let me finish," or "You don't want to hear this?" as if their commentary is going to make you a better person. And you're like "Fuck no I don't want to hear this, I just want to leave. I get it, you think I'm shit," in your own mind but you keep it to yourself and stay anyway because you were taught never to burn any bridges even though the bridge is being dismantled in front of your eyes anyway... --- People say "mixed reception" to damage control negativity. ...
