Still haven't seen the GB remake but Transformers was more of a killer in some senses. In general, you kinda want these movies beforehand but then they f*** them up so bad you wish they never existed.

Yeah, they fucked with my Beast Wars nostalgia. I didn't even bother to watch any of the newer transformers. Looked like trash when it came out and is still trash today.

Are bad sequels/prequels better?

After re-watching Star Wars Episode 7 at home months later after seeing it in theaters. I will say, the prequels by George Lucas were better.
