don't bother with trophies until your second play through, it saves a lot of hassle due to carrying over equipment and money (E&L/Shallie require two anyway), any trophies you get on the first play through are a bonus

I never plan a course. On a second play through everything goes so fast you frequently need to waste time to keep moving the story along.

Only thing that is needed is to make sure you see all events. On vita that is easy since all events are pointed out except in totori and meruru, while the PS3 it's only added from E&L onward due to the time the games were released. there's plenty of guides for each character in every game if you really need them
