MSNBC reporter suggesting on Twitter that Kennedy could retire as soon as this upcoming Monday.

I just fucking nutted

This is the first chance for a true conservative majority since what... like the 1920s?

There's been a Republican majority for like...the past 30 years (Kennedy was appointed by Reagan).

And I'm not sure the 1920s court would be comparable anyway; sure, there was a Republican majority, but this is before the Republicans and Democrats swapped places on a number of issues.

I'm searching for landmark supreme court cases from 1920s, hold on...

okie dokie

I...yeah, sure, seems reasonable.

Huh, ok.

By modern day standards this is a more left-leaning ruling.

Sure, why not?

Huh, neat. I approve. (Also, Sim City is a lie, it has zoning in 1901).

If this is the kind of supreme court we get, sure, sign me up. Pretty sure this is not what you have in mind, though.
