As an iOS developer, I love Apple

Didn't they just remove every single iOS game that wasn't 64 bit from the store without warning? The Ridiculous Fishing dev was talking about this at the Giant Bomb E3 show.

They removed support for 32 bit with iOS 11, yes, but there was definitely warning.

He said he woke up one day and it was gone. Apparently they warned that they were losing compatibility with the new OSs but not told the game was going to be taken down entirely. I dunno, was a pretty quick segment.

I do know that most iOS developers over the years seem to like the infrastructure but hate the company. Apple themselves has been very vocal that they don't respect games and have no intention of taking them seriously as a medium.

"If you want to have a message, write a book. There's no place for that in games" is the statement that stood out the most to me.

Well, the first bit just seems like common sense. If your app is going to be losing support of that magnitude, you should expect it to be dropped from the store, even if they don't come out and say it.

That does kinda sum it up, though, yeah. I love the infrastructure they've put in place, but some of their decisions raise some eyebrows.
