They'll try to get you to buy a new iPhone rather than doing repairs on it - even if the only thing that needs to be "repaired" is removing fuzz from the charging port. They have strict standards on what they'll let customers do with their devices, with violations risking your stuff turning into an expensive brick. They even build their towers in such a way that nobody but Apple can actually do maintenance work on them. Not to mention they charge steep prices for their hardware, too. Sorry, no, Apple is definitely the greater of the evils here. --- Everyone's best is different.
