Points/miles credit cards get the most redemption value if used for first class international travel (~5-6 cents per mile, which is the equivalent of 5-6% back on all purchases). If you dont plan to use them for travel rewards, you are probably just better off getting a cash back card. Best one on the market right now is Citi Double Cash (2% cash back). Some cards also have other random perks to consider though.
