I mean, Dems should be disappointed but not necessarily in panic mode because they are literally competing in districts that are R+10-20, so what happens in purple districts in the midterms that went for Republicans in the House?

There's a real danger on both sides, because if elections were held tomorrow the Republicans would likely lose the house because they are not winning these special elections by much. And becoming the party of "No" works, ask how the Republicans got all their gains. The economy is doing ok, but it's not seeing the massive gains (sans the Stock Market) that will help rust-belt groups that helped give us a President Trump.

Basically, Dems should be frustrated with these results and they need help with messaging, but don't think that Republicans are just gonna dominate because they're winning close elections in decidedly red districts.
