I think the problem is twofold: one, taking Trump out of the equation, you had a candidate BODYSLAM a reporter and get CHEERED, and you had a candidate say that she doesn't support a wage that allows a forty hour work week to pay enough to sustain a person's life. Two, it's the general idea that the right DOES win elections with "Look how bad the Democrats are!", even going so far as to link Ossoff to Pelosi because they had nothing else to attack him on. The fact that it seems like Democrats need to nominate a charismatic fucking SAINT just to overcome a generic Republican (who might actively advocate violence against 50% of the population that isn't Republican)...it's depressing at this point. --- Touch fuzzy.
