I did it once in my life. Bought tickets for Monsters University, watched that, then we went into Despicable Me #2.

It's something that I'm shocked doesn't happen more often. It's free reign once you get past the ticket counter.

I dunno, I mean I remember feeling pretty burnt out after two full-blown movies in theaters in a row. Maybe they just assume it happens a bit, but doesn't happen a lot because seeing a movie in theaters really takes it out of you, not to mention that you can be dedicating 4+ hours of your day there. I mean that's a big chunk, and I can't imagine, even as an adult, wanting to spend my weekend that way (especially now that I'm an adult with disposable income and don't mind spending $10 at a later date if it means I can see the movies on different days).

Unless there are two movies that I REALLY want to see and the showtimes work out well, I doubt I'll ever do it again. But as far as the rest of this year is concerned, the releases for movies I plan on seeing are far enough apart that I'd be waiting for two months before seeing them or something (i.e. I wouldn't wait two months to see Spiderman just so I could save $10 and walk into Kingsman 2 right after - and that's assuming Spiderman is still in theaters).
