We're due for another realignment in the next decade or so, but who knows with gerrymandering/voter suppression how long it will take to wave over One poli analyst I've read has said not until 2028 (Dem like Sherrod Brown wins in 2020, GOP wins in 2024, then Dems take back in 2028) Others say 2024 (Trump or whatever candidate the GOP vomits up in 2020 wins, then a Dem wins in 2024) And a lot put it on 2020 where the Dems win by reversing Trump's populism.
