Video games are a billion dollar industry. If they give a a good director a good script and and have good casting, they'd take in a shit ton of money from gamers coming to see adaptations of their favorite games. But instead of doing that they always just half ass things and expect us to show up anyway


Most video games don't really have a structure to give out a good movie adaptation. I'm not sure if this logic really works anyway. Just because people pay money to play a video game doesn't mean they'd pay money to watch that story as a movie. Hell most people buy games for their gameplay not the narrative.
