A 90's contest with OoT in a champions match instead of the main bracket would be good. RBY/FFVII/CT is an interesting three.

Without it it would be a bit like this one. 98 was too dominant. Regardless of if you think 97 or 01 is stronger (I definitely favour 01) I feel 97 would be doing worse as its gen 5 games pale in comparison to 98's. 1998 is just that much of a monster.

Anyway, I want to see GotD2. I always wanted Game of the (seventh) Generation but that has lost its time now.

No way...

CT vs OoT deserve their match. It's not at all a foregone conclusion.

Make OoT in its own half.
CT in its own quadrant
And VII and RBY in the same quadrant.

Winner of VII RBY gets CT.
Winner of that gets OoT in the final.

And CT would get its match if it beats FFVII and RBY. I see no reason to let OoT trash half the bracket.

That's exactly what I had.... CT would get it's match if it beats FF VII/RBY. It shouldn't have to beat them BOTH.... because it is the expected second strongest right now.

So OoT (which is gonna liquify every game except CT anyway, it SSF's ALttP, Melee, MM, and RBY, and we know what ti does to FF VII) get to run over half the bracket, because it only has one even potential legit challenger, why have them face early, and then the 2 late 90's RPG's can fight to face the mid 90's RPG, and someone has to get a shot at OoT. OoT vs Winner should absolutely be the Championship, if not it's gonna be something like OoT beating Super Metroid by a trillion.
