But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's start with the basics. Hockey is a 5-on-5 (plus one goalie for each side) team sport played on ice. Each player has a wooden (or composite) stick, which they use to try and shoot a hard rubber puck into the opposing team's net. Stop me if you already know the basics, or alternatively if I'm going too fast for you.
