I made a very pointed statement on something on Facebook, saying up front that it's my opinion and I do not expect others to support it. The butthurt comments to the contrary range from objectively uninformed from a historical standpoint to "move to a different country". It takes a lot these days to drag me into a debate (if you can even call it that) with a bunch knuckle-dragging parasites, and I expected as much when I wrote my initial reply to the post.

I feel good that I managed to maintain my composure and intelligently refute everything successfully. The problem with dumb people though is that they consider claiming the last piece of cake by smearing feces on it to be a brilliant tactic, when all they've done is sat there eating their own shit and feeling like a winner. More people agreed with me than disagreed, which was the icing on it.

To avoid creating a similar situation here, I have intentionally left things vague :)
