noodles should be hot; I can't eat sushi

Soba and somen noodles are traditionally served cold and sushi is just an example. Just because you can't eat it doesn't invalidate it as a food that is best served cold.

coffee is best when cold; so is tea; cocoa is best at room temperature

Which are all subjective. Coffee and tea in my opinion have better taste and aroma when hot.

what is black sesame

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_sesame_soup

Strange the Wiki site describes it as a soup. It is usually served as a dessert drink in various Chinese cafes. But I guess since it is usually consumed via a spoon it could be described as a soup.
