yes in highschool and when i was a young adult. I used to take prozac and i don't remember any side effects. In fact the reason i stopped taking it is because my parents were going through some problems. My mom moved to grandmas for like 2 weeks and stuff was going down with my adad and my sister (he choked her apparently) So we lived with my grandma for a while. I guess i was taking it all really well cause my mom was devistated obviouisly and she told me "If you weren't on your medication, you would probably be having a much harder time" So after that i stopped taking my medicine. By telling my doctor i no longer wanted to take it so i can be in the military or some shit. So i got off of it. Which was a mistake honestly. Later on after i graduated highschool i got back on prozac, but being older and more knowledgable, I asked if it would conflict with my tegratol (for epileplsy) . My doctor decided to put me on effexor. It worked i guess and i don't know why i stopped taking it. Just stopped lol Probably something stupid. But i felt prozac worked best for me. Effexor worked good too and i don't remember having any side effects.

Also the side effects do not effect everyone. They have to label everything that happens to people. So whatever they put on happened to at least one person. Also every single medicine has side effects. Tylonal even has a problem with killing young kids apparently. So when someone says not to take something that can help you because of a list of side effects is full of it.

Yeah it be nice not having to take medicine and to "just get through your shit" but not everyone handles things the same and needs a extra boost. Your medication will not solve your problems for you but it can give you the strength to get through them. So if you feel you need the medication, try it. If it don't work then just get off. I was fortunate to have a awesome doctor that explained a lot of things to me. He said that pills are dangerous and you should use the minimum amount that will work. He was constantly lowering my medication dosages as long as it was working. He was a great doctor.
