The governments been trying to tie Trump to Russia or find any incriminating evidence on him since he became the Republican presidential candidate long before he entered office.

Despite not being able to find anything in all that time besides "he didn't pay more tax than he legally had to" and "he said grab a girl by her privates" I have high doubts that they were suddenly getting close to discovering the "huge connection" and Trump had to fire him right away.

I'm not claiming Russia is some saint but they've has been the scapegoat of American politics ever since they wouldn't play ball and left the EU, threatening unified global government.

There's nothing concrete found... Well other than the myriad of connections that have been made. Now the important part: It has been how many months?

Watergate took years for anything to be revealed and for action to happen. All along the way it was called baseless and fought by the administration. Then it actually broke.

So really it has been barely any time and there are the pile of Grand Jury subpoenas issued with more to come. The investigation should continue and be concluded. It's not up to the party under investigation to decide that the investigation is not warranted. If there's nothing to find there will be nothing to come of it.
