pretty sure he's not being investigated anymore, which is how he was able to be fired.
he's been under investigation since he announced he was running, you'd really think they'd find something by now if he had anything worth being found out

Well, Congress controls the investigation, and Congress is fully controlled by Republicans... And have had numerous scandals so far with the investigation, including the guy who was leading it visiting Trump in secret and then lying about it before it was found out... And then the testimony yesterday the Republicans were more concerned about grilling Yates about who the whistle blower...excuse me... "leaker" was that did the public service of letting us know the National Security Advisor lied about meeting with the Russians...than learning about what Flynn did and why it took several weeks to can him after the facts came out.
So yeah, I wonder why nothing's been found yet.
Yeah the senate has been sitting on its hands because a successful investigation will likely destroy them at the next election.
In general, the investigation has been running on bare minimum resources which was discussed in yesterday's hearings. Without an independent commission with actual funding you can expect this investigation to get virtually no where for a very long time. ---
