I was drinking daily for nearly a year, and i've recently taking a tremendous cutback and am down to about once or twice every 10 days. I've been drinking for 8 years abusively, and this is the least i've been drinking in that time span and gradually reducing my intake week by week.
You need to figure out for yourself when enough is enough and when it's time to take it down a notch and start thinking about the health of your body and the longevity of your future. I usually see posts like this and see them as a reach out for help, even though you aren't directly asking for it.

so is anybody that drinks an alcoholic? Or are only binge weekend blackout drinkers not alcoholics?
It's defined differently depending on the source. If you drink more days of the week than you don't, I consider that an alcoholic. If you drink on multiple work nights and weekends, yes.
My brother in law was in trouble with the law, and he answered all the answers honestly, and they asked him how often he drank alcohol and he answered with an honest "Maybe once every month or two, or 6-7 times a year" and they made him take 8 weeks of AA. By that definition, I consider very much a casual drinker, not an alcoholic, but they obviously considered that otherwise.
so my friend that blacks out every weekend isn't an alcoholic, but I am because I like to have some whiskey and cokes some nights on the weekday. I've never blacked out, I hate being hungover so I am rarely hungover unless I had a wild night on a weekend(rare), and don't get myself in trouble with the law over it.
That's clearly not what he said. The police considered his brother in law an alcoholic (or at least made him take AA classes) because his BIL admitted he drank roughly once per month. Obviously if your friend gets blackout drunk every weekend that would be much more than his BIL. ---
