yeah. the third one is a bit stand alone, but so far i disagree. if anything, it just develop the characters from previous games and add alot of lore into the games as well as setting up future games,

trails in the sky 1 and 2 are basically one giant game. 2 began like a day after 1 finished. also be sure to talk to every NPC every major events happened. that is what makes the series special for me other than other cool stuff.
