I think my greatest sin as an amateur film fan is not having seen any of the Mad Max movies, including Fury Road. I need to change that. Are the older movies actually good?

The second is probably the best 'movie' out of the three (The Road Warrior). The first is very good, but very poorly paced by modern settings. It introduces a really cool and unique (for the time) world. The third is a cheesy popcorn flick, but fun none-the-less. Fury Road is sort of a best of both worlds, it's one of those 'thinking man's action movie", that creates a really cool world and landscape, and tells an interesting epic, myth-like story. It also has the best production values.

So basically, they are all worth a watch if you have an interest in film or the genre, and if not, you will probably enjoy all of them (except for the first).

Thank you, I definitely need to see these.
