I can honestly see a reason for the low review scores now. The low review scores were because of the camera. The voices were like this in the Banjo games too. Everyone loved it then. Maybe because that was years ago. There's no excuse today outside of nostalgia, and even then it's annoying as fuck to listen to. So dont play it? It was kickstarted by fans of the banjo games to make a spiritual successor. The game is exactly what the people who paid for it wanted. Not every game has to be madden or call of duty ffs A good game can do both. See X-Com Enemy Unknown. I would have said "See Deus Ex Human Revolution + Mankind Divided" but that series flopped in sales so maybe not a good example. There's a flawed logic of "It's like the old days so either you like it or you don't get it" is insane, there's a reason why people prefered Streets of Rage to Final Fight back in the day and those reasons haven't gone away, it depends on how good the game is.
