The low review scores were because of the camera. The voices were like this in the Banjo games too. Everyone loved it then. Maybe because that was years ago. There's no excuse today outside of nostalgia, and even then it's annoying as fuck to listen to. So dont play it? It was kickstarted by fans of the banjo games to make a spiritual successor. The game is exactly what the people who paid for it wanted.
