| Topic | Is there really any reason for me to get the newest smartphone? |

I'm looking to most likely get an Android phone this time since it's easier to play around and make an app for Android. Anyway...I basically only use my smartphone for calls,texts and browsing the web. I don't really need or care about having the most amazing and newest specs or camera and whatnot. I don't want a shitty phone but I don't need to absolute newest stuff. I also don't feel like shelling out ~$700 or paying ~$30 monthly for a new phone.
