Western Europe (excluding the UK) has a generally positive vibe to sex and sexuality and nudity. It always amazes me how we live in a culture that will obscure some nipples on a piece of renaissance art but will show a citizen getting shot - all on the same news channel.

The root of this is the fact that violence can be fake but nudity is always nudity. If it looks like nudity, it is. There's much more separation from reality when viewing fake violence and so it doesn't spark as much of a reaction in our brains.

Funny considering the nudity in this case was an artistic depiction of nudity whereas the violence is a real person actually dying on camera.
