Killing Rockbreakers always felt good.

As for the story, it wasn't too shabby. The main quests were good to fine, but the sidequests were pretty forgettable. It's a shame Nil didn't have a bigger role, since he was the most memorable NPC in the game and about ten times cooler than a certain red-haired girl.

Nil was really weird.

I suspect he's supposed to turn up more but I only saw him twice, at the start and end of his quest.

So we took out 1 bandit camp, then I took out all the rest and he was like "Boy we sure did a lot of work didn't we!?" and I was like "Oh fuck off."

All I know about the game is apparently it panders to SJWs

... do people really say that about HZD? Sigh.

Yes. And I can see why even though I don't agree with them.

Main character is a young female who couldn't have been more of a Mary Sue unless her name was Mary. Despite being treated like shit by 89% of the characters in the game.

Characters in the game are a completely diverse cast of all races and nationalities.

Everyone evil is a powerful man. Usually white.

Every black woman in the plot is amazing and noble and just so darn great.

The women are just as if not more powerful than the men somehow. But despite being so powerful not one seems to have joined Eclipse, the slave traders or Dervahl and I don't think there were any in the shadow carta either.

Aloy despite being both a Mary Sue and raised as an outcast with no friends or social interaction whatsoever is competely appaled and uncomfortable about sex.

But too be fair to the critics it seems like the main reason people were saying that is apparently a bunch of websites and the developers were talking about how great it was to finally have female protaganists and how socially aware they were. And the fact it was developed in the Netherlands which has a far left-reputation.

I didn't follow any of the hype or advertising for the game so it didn't affect me but I think a lot of people were triggered before they touched it.
