I believe you have misinterpreted my response. Nothing was learned. My comment is meant to convey that I think what you've stated is weird and preachy.
well life pleasures are minuscule in the end, after certain age pleasures won't last longer, but souls is everlasting and one should seek knowledge about that but all of that relates to giving up living a normal life so its not for everyone eitherway
Or, the pleasures in life are all we have because existence is short and there is no afterlife. It's better if you make the best out of the life you have. You can still be a morally "good" person and enjoy pleasures.
agree, i also want the typical bungalow, car, wife and kids life, but still would invest time in learning ancient wisdom if given the chance, i have the interest ---
