So it sucks, but you got bumped. What's unclear to me (which is why I'm not like 75% on the airlines side) is that once you are on the plane can they still bump you for overbooking. Usually this happens at the gate. The airlines response after has been cold corporate speak so they are doing a terrible PR job.
