Something tells me you, and everyone else here, would not be saying, "Well, honey, you should have 'volunteered' to get off, but now you have to get your ass whooped because of the fine print." Actually if they did choose me and my wife, I would be pissed but I would go outside and talk with customer service reps to give me and my wife a better incentive or work out a better solution or something. I wouldn't go violent. Of course that still doesn't excuse how they handled the situation though. It's shitty all around to kick a person off the plane when they're already seated.
