Why?


I like the idea, and why is simple compromise. Both sides have to give to receive. Also, I imagine most people don't have more than one box of hollow point ammo for each of their guns. It's not like you use it to target shoot or anything other than to keep for emergencies where you'll use it.



But what's the point? Why will taxing hollowpoints make anyone safer? If you don't want to ban them outright, then presumably you're fine with people owning them. What good does the government collecting extra money on them accomplish?
