| Coffeebeanz 04/09/17 11:43:36 PM #1: | Mobile GPU tech has gone completely bonkers in the last few years - It makes me wonder at what point the diminishing returns of high end GPU advancement will make portable devices seem relatively on par consoles (especially when not outputting at 4K). I'm not saying Mario Kart 8 is the best looking game in the world, but the fact that a tiny-ass tablet can run it at 1080p 60fps is really nuts. 4K will probably the realm of standalone GPUs and high-end hardware for a long while, but at 1080p I can't help but think that we no longer really need dedicated hardware beyond the scope of what portables can handle. --- Physician [Internal Medicine] ...
