"I'm guessing... younger?"

"What makes you say I'm younger?" she asks with a judgmental raised eyebrow.

"The 50-50 chance that you are," you say.

"Well then consider yourself very lucky," she says with a smile. "You guessed right."

"Good," you say with relief. "I wasn't sure how you would've reacted if I was wrong."

"I probably would've found a way to take it as a compliment," she shrugs. "If you thought I was older, it's because I'm mature, and if you thought I was younger it's because I look youthful."

She then looks at you with disapproving look.

"Don't think of that kind of mature," she smirks with a playful push.

All you can do is laugh shyly.

"For a gentleman, you sure can't keep your mind--or eyes--off my body," she says with a sly smile.

"Well no one is perfect," you shrug.

You two have a little laugh, then finish your glasses of water.

"So now that we've finished this detour," she says, "keep telling me about your family. You haven't even gotten to your sisters yet."

"Oh yes, right," you say. "My sisters, Roselind and Rebecca--or Rose and Becca--were born when I was four. They're 13 going on 14, and actuall the first ever twins of any kind in the Null family history."

"Wow, really?"

"Yes, the only twins to come from the Null family directly. Extended family, like the Goggins on my mother's side and the Chestnuts, Ruth Anne's family, have had twins in their family trees, but never from the Nulls."

"Oh I was going to ask," she says, "your sisters have fairly white hair and bright blue eyes. Does that mean the family doesn't acknowledge for 'female Roreks'?"

"How do you mean?"

"Well, what if you were born a girl? You still had those same bright blue eyes and snow white hair, but you were a girl."

"I... I've never thought about that. I don't think there have been girls born with a resemblance to Rorek. My sisters do have hair and eyes much like mine and my grandfather's... I guess if they'd been born first, there would've been a precedent set for the family, both on female Roreks and if a set of twins were Roreks."

"Twin Roreks, huh?" Raven says. "Two of you..."

Raven's lips curl into a devious little smirk.

"Raven," you say with pretend shock, "are you having risque thoughts?"

"What would an imperfect gentleman like you do if I said yes?" she says with a naughty mischief in her voice.

"Why, I'd have to help bring some of them into reality," you say as you slide in close.

Raven gasps with excitement like she did last night as you get an arm around her.

"Umm..." Starfire says from the main doorway.

You and Raven see her standing there, dumbfounded and wide-eyed, and begin stammering as you two fumble to move back from each other.

"Starfire, when--? how much did you see?" Raven gets out while you're all tongue-tied.

"I only just arrived, to inform you that the others were thinking of going out for lunch," she says loudly with anxiety. "I in no way witnessed flirting leading towards the 'making out'."

"She's a horrible liar," Raven explains.

"I'm aware," you say. "Has there been a decision on where we're going?"

"No," Starfire says, not as loudly as before, "hence my coming up here to ask for your input."
