Only about halfway thru the movie because I have the attention span of a gnat right now, but I can see why Stanly Kubrick is widely regarded as a genius. Despite having very much last century special effects, the movie looks and feels much better than many modern movies. I feel like this is because more care went into crafting it. Modern movies rely too heavily on CGI to polish them and as a result they lose much of the natural feel that older movies had. Well into the second 48 OZ cup now and quite buzzed. I'm always amazed that I can even type coherently at this point. I assume its because typing is linked to muscle memory and not higher brain functions.
