Reminder that both sides of the politician spectrum and the overall population of America don't give much of a fuck about this beyond moral points. Why don't they just move?

Why dont poor people just move?

Would you buy a house in flint?

...what?

Not that hard to wrap your mind around. Lots of people, you know, sell their homes to fund their move to a new home. Now, would you buy a home for sale in Flint, knowing that the entire city and surrounding area has poisonous, lead lined water?

I'm pretty sure the poor people living there didn't move to Flint after the crisis came out?

I was mocking his post, not asking that question seriously.

Yeah, that is a pretty dumbfounding question. Must have got me, too. Sorry, dood.

They would need to replace every single pipe in the water system to fix this properly, it would be cheaper to just rebuild the town elsewhere.

This is the saddest bit of all. No wonder the real estate market there is cratering. If the prices I'm seeing are in CANADIAN dollars, then yikes...
