It gives us international presence and respect that has been a bit lacking in the last few months.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize the people we owe money to were taking presence and respect as payment in lue of money now.I stand corrected!

I also love how your reading comprehension is just as bad, because you either missed or disregarded the part where I said we're damned if we do, damned if we dont. I assume you're too young to remember the beginning of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq, so I'll clue you in: basically the entire world was, and still is, pissed off at us for it. Meddling in foreign affairs is virtually never looked upon favorably.

No, silly bear, you failed to understand what I meant when I said we have no reason to give a fuck what most of the world thinks. While we don't want to antagonize them, they're not gonna back out of trade with us over literally a non-issue.

Aside from that, you're completely exaggerating how much this is costing us in actual resources. The entire operation cost about .1% of the US's yearly military budget. We'd need to launch 100 more similar missile strikes to even be able to tell a difference.

Oh, sorry, I understand now. My mistake. What you're actually saying is
