| Lorenzo_2003 04/06/17 5:28:18 PM #23: | If you have enough money to pay a settlement and there is even a slight possibility a trial could lead to prison time, it is the smart choice to just pay the settlement. If you didn't actually do the crime, then paying a settlement is probably a terrible feeling to stomach, but it still beats jail. A guy like Michael Jackson could've died behind bars and his reputation would be even worse off. Right now we mainly have a lot of speculation. I do think he did a lot of questionable things like sleeping in the same bed as minors, but those kinds of acts just made it easier for some adults to go after Michael's money. --- ... ...
