I tend to find many beers have a general similar taste, and the light ones tend to taste the same as well, despite the different branding, but yeah, even so there are still plenty of flavors out there that stand out somewhat, and have special ingredients that give it its own personality. Yeah, often beers do taste the same. I just feel it's best for people to venture out and try different kinds; assuming they are interested of course.
