| Topic | Autocad or inventor, what should I use? (Or any other free software) |

I am horrible at drawing so I thought a design software would help me. I downloaded Autodesk Inventor thinking it would help but that shit is complicated. I spent a whole day and couldn't do my design ( I ended up just drawing it by hand with my horrible skills). Should I download Autocad instead or any other software I can get for free? I always thought knowing a bit of autocad would help me in my engineering life but I decided to get Inventor instead because one of the people supervising me uses SolidWorks for her designs and I am supposed to follow her steps (but SolidWorks doesnt have a free license for students or anything similar) so I went with its competitor. ...
