Topic	I just found out galaxies don't exist

I think he was surprised to find out that a galaxy isn't a single thing, but rather its a collection of several things. Everything outside elementary particles are a collection of several things. Everyone knows that. I thought the idea I was expressing was obvious enough that I didn't have to define and qualify my terms. But you're underselling how similar a galaxy is to anything else.
